Caught Off-Guard

“When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.”
Matthew 2:10

In the darkness

of this season

while busy tending

the sheep

we are once again

caught off-guard

by ancient

angelic messages.

Fear momentarily suspended,

we try on peace and

good will for size.

Long after the seraphs

songs are stilled

and the rest have

returned to their flocks

A few of us still hang our hope on a

single

Star —

“For unto us is born this day,

A Savior,

Who is

Christ the Lord.”

-----

by Joan Kosmachuk.

DO
Find a spot away from the city lights and enjoy a few moments admiring God’s handiwork in the stars.
PRAY
That we would persevere together in hope in Christ, who is the Morning Star.
