200th anniversary capital campaign

Campaign Overview
Park Street Church is currently in the final year of a three-year capital campaign to renew our buildings to enable our ministry. Over fifty members of our church are now serving on Campaign Leadership Teams with many hundreds more having served in various roles to engage and inform the congregation in this capital campaign.

We REMEMBER the sacrifice and vision of twenty-six men and women, who in 1809—at a time of widespread adoption of Unitarian beliefs contrary to historic Christian faith—joined together to form a new church that is solidly Trinitarian and vital in its evangelical faith. Park Street Church continues today as a thriving, congregational church and is a member of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.

We REJOICE that for nearly two hundred years, our beautiful meetinghouse has been located at the most important crossroads in the heart of Boston, been spiritual home for tens of thousands, and been the sending body for hundreds of missionaries to the far corners of the globe.

We REDEDICATE ourselves to the vision and mission of Park Street Church's founders to serve the spiritual and physical needs of the city and those from around the world living and studying in Boston. Generations have maintained and renewed this structure to meet the needs of their times. Now, this is our privilege and responsibility.

Giving & Pledging Options
Park Street Church seeks the commitment of those who value and appreciate our beautiful historic meetinghouse and the extensive adjacent facilities that earlier generations have lovingly maintained for us through their own sacrificial giving.

Pledge Update – February 2009:
The campaign has been blessed with $5.9 million in pledges to date. That means we are 59% of the way to our $10 million goal.  We praise God and thank the congregation for this remarkable outpouring of support as we seek to prepare Park Street Church for the next century of service.

Park Street Church needs your financial support to commence repairs and renovations that are required by a structure of our church's age, size and significance. Your gift is important, and every gift counts.

To discuss contribution options, please contact John Wallace:  617-523-3383, or  jwallace[at]parkstreet.org. Commitment Cards can be picked up at the church.

“Lord, what would you do through me, to accomplish your vision for our church?”

The Apostle Paul boasts about the extraordinary generosity of the Macedonian churches: “And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will” (2 Corinthians 8:5). Given their limited resources, the way the Macedonian Christians gave of their substance was remarkable. In fact, “they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability,” declares Paul (2 Corinthians 8:3).
