[missions] our missionaries
Since 1819, Park Street Church has been sending missionaries all over the world. By the 1950s, Park Street Church was supporting over 100 missionaries in almost every region of the world. In recent years, our church has shifted paradigms in our understanding of what it means to support and send out missionaries. In 1997, a policy decision was made to establish deeper relationships with each of our active missionaries as they were invited to become fully supported missionaries and part of the Park Street Church ministerial staff. Through this transition period, new and deeper relationships were forged and strategic priorities were put in place. Currently we support 13 career missionaries around the world, several mid-term missionaries committed to serving up to five years, and global professionals committed to tent-making witness. We are thankful to God for the many missionaries we have been privileged to invest in over the years.
