ABOUT US

Welcome to graduate school in Boston! We’re so glad that you’re here, and we’re confident that you will find it to be an amazing opportunity. Our prayer is that you will go beyond just surviving graduate school and actually grow in your faith during your time here. This needn’t be a spiritually barren time for you—quite the reverse!

Please join us as we pursue God, letting Him inform and guide our academic pursuits (because we don’t think anyone is served by keeping his or her faith and work in separate, airtight compartments), and engage our campuses with the love, the hope and the life that Jesus has given us.

The Boston Graduate School Christian Fellowships (GSCF) are a diverse array of fellowships meeting on individual campuses throughout greater Boston. A few times a year, the groups come together for a retreat or celebration. These fellowships are sponsored by InterVarsity Christian Fellowship’s Graduate & Faculty Ministries and Park Street Church.

As communities on campus, we seek to encourage one another to view our work, friendships and lives in the context of our relationship with Jesus. We meet together to pray, to support one another, to study the Bible, to reach out in service and missions projects, and to celebrate. We seek to live as witnesses on our campuses: loving others (because Jesus first loved us), serving others (because Jesus died for us), and telling His story (because Jesus gave us life).

JOIN US

At present, there are regular GSCF meetings at the following campuses:
    Harvard University
    MIT
    Boston University (BU)
    Boston College and BC Law
Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA) Fellowships at Harvard, Tufts and BU

Fellowship details and student contacts for your school or a nearby campus can be found on our website:
www.bostongrad.org

For those of you on a campus without an active fellowship, we encourage you to join a fellowship at a nearby graduate school, join a Park Street Church-based fellowship group through Café (20s ministry), CrossWalk (30s ministry), or FOCUS (ministry to international students) or even pioneer a new graduate fellowship at your university! Contact us. We would welcome the opportunity to explore the available options with you.

Finally, we strongly encourage graduate students to become members of Park Street Church or another local church—even if you’re only here for a few years. We believe that it is important to connect, serve, and receive from the greater (and more diverse) body of Jesus in addition to investing deeply on your campus, which is your unique mission field for this season.
