[bicentennial] exhibits
"Articles of Faith"
As part of our bicentennial celebration, we take time to look back at the faith of our predecessors. From statements of faith to letters of correspondence to oil paintings, all testify to Park Street Church's rich history and enduring faith in Jesus Christ. The artifacts from our archives and the Congregational Library will be on display in the Ockenga Lobby throughout the bicentennial year. The exhibit will be changing periodically as we delve into various portions of the past.
The following are samples from the previous exhibit, which focuses on Park Street's founding articles and the Unitarian Controversy. Check out the current exhibit in person in the Ockenga Lobby; it highlights the Civil War era.
"Articles of Christian Faith and of Church Government adopted by the members of Park Street Church"

"Testimony of Scripture Against the Trinity"
This document contains the theology of Unitarianism, which was taking New England by storm in the 1830s.

"Are you a Christian or a Calvinist?"
An inquiry by John Lowell posed to the also popular Calvinist movement among area churches.

"The Catholick Question" is a response to both Calvinism and Unitarianism.
