{ Communications Assistant }
This position assists the Director of Communications with a wide variety of projects. Ongoing duties include preparing the weekly bulletin, designing church publications or web pages, and implementing creative advertising.
Requirements and Expectations:
• Good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
(experience with Illustrator, Flash, or Dreamweaver a plus).
Web skills necessary.
• Demonstrated, consistent use of professional design principles.
Portfolio required.
• Background in publishing, journalism, graphic design, or related field.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Solid command of the English language. Writing sample suggested.
• Weekday, daytime availability for about 20 hours per week.
• Must be or become a member of Park Street Church and participate
in the general life of the church.

{ Sound Tech Ministry Supervisor }
This position is responsible for the sound and recording functions of the church and is considered a part of the Media Ministry. The Audio Ministry Supervisor recruits, schedules, and trains a crew to manage sound for Sunday worship as well as special events such as weddings, conferences, and concerts. This person also archives sermon recordings, creates and sells CDs, maintains equipment, and performs related duties as requested.
Requirements and Expectations:
• Schedule flexibility to work most Sundays and occasional Saturdays
(other days flexible) an average of 15 hours/week.
• A Bachelor’s degree and/or special tech training and/or significant
experience in some aspect of audio or other communications media.
• Demonstrated technical skills and intuitive “fix-it” characteristics.
• Good interpersonal, networking, scheduling, training, and supervisory
skills.
• Hands-on computer skills with a good working knowledge of basic word
processing, PowerPoint, and digital reproduction software.
• Must be or become a member of Park Street Church and participate
in the general life of the church.

seasonal
Freedom Trail guides are hired annually in the spring. (2008 guides have already been hired.) Contact the Director of Communications in April for consideration. The Freedom Trail at Park Street is open each year from mid-June through the end of August, Tuesday through Saturday.
internships
Internships for seminarians are available for Fall 2008 in many areas of ministry. See the internship page or contact John Chung for more information.
volunteer
Long-term volunteer positions are available periodically. This is a great way to serve the church with your training and talents while building your resumé. These positions are part-time and flexible.
