About Us
Park Street Church’s presence in the heart of Boston’s urban downtown gives our church body many opportunities to demonstrate God’s heart for the city and to join him in his work by extending Christ’s love to our neighbors.
The Thursday Night Outreach team began in 2006, when we felt a calling to reach out to those who spend most of their time out on the Boston Common. We embrace 1 John 3:18, "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth," as our calling to serve both the physical and spiritual needs of these our neighbors.
Each Thursday we spend time in Scripture before we head out on to the Common, so that we are centered on God before we put his words into action. We cook and provide a meal and some basic essentials, but the key feature of our ministry is the relationships that we build.
We serve by offering Christ-centered hope, spiritual encouragement and material support to the people on the streets in our neighborhood. We seek to welcome others to this community by developing relationships and building bridges to God's love in the Body of Christ.

There are several ways that you can get involved:
• Join…our team (a commitment of one year is required)
• Invite… a team member to share with your small group
• Give…donate baked goods, supplies for Christmas stockings, etc.

JOIN OUTREACH TO LOCAL INTERNATIONALS
FOCUS is our Friendship Ministry to International Students, Scholars & their Families. The ministry offers friendship and faith-based service and opportunities to international students, scholars and their families. Volunteer English Teachers are needed for ESL classes Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:30 am to 11:30 am; or Fridays, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and for other friendship ministries.
