ABOUT US
Wings is a ministry of prayer and practical help that seeks to express the love of Christ by serving those who are experiencing difficult circumstances. We achieve this goal through four ministries: Angel Teams, Side by Side, Prayer, and Grace to Go.
Angel Teams: Responding to Specific Needs during Crisis
An angel team is formed to come alongside and help address the unexpected needs of the individual or family (whether a sudden illness, a death in the family, or another life crisis). We provide gifts of service that are specifically tailored to each situation and may include rides to medical appointments, childcare, house and yard work, shopping and meal preparation.
Side by Side Ministry: Visitation for those Chronically Ill or Homebound
The Side by Side ministry connects volunteers—via calls and monthly visits—with our Park Street seniors and those who are chronically ill and/or unable to leave their residences. Encouragement and support are provided through conversation, reading and prayer, resulting in genuine, meaningful relationships. The one-on-one caring that develops blesses all involved.
Prayer Team
The Wings Prayer Team is a dedicated group who join together in regular fellowship to pray for the concerns and requests of those in the Park Street community.
Grace to Go Ministry: Providing Meals
Grace to Go provides meals for a short-term crisis until, if necessary, an Angel Team is arranged for longer-term care. This food ministry provides for or supplements the basic needs often met by an individual’s Bible study, Christian Formation class or small group. Meals are prepared and placed in the Park Street freezer and are ready to go at a moments notice!

You and/or your small group can:
• Become part of an Angel Team for a specific individual/family
• Drive
• Provide childcare
• Contribute house/yard work
• Join the Side by Side ministry and take turns visiting an ill or homebound friend
