[woman’s benevolent society]
ABOUT US
The women of Park Street Church have had a special presence and ministry dating from 1809, when the church was founded, more than 200 years ago.
The Woman's Benevolent Society is a ministry that serves God by serving others, within the church family, to our neighbors and through our missionaries. Below are ways these women minister to others.
Prayer, for our missionaries, needs of Park Street, our government and the world.
Greeting Cards, sent to the ill, shut-ins, and missionaries.
Canceled Stamps, trimmed and sorted by us and sent to Shell Point Village in Florida, where they finish the processing and sell them in bulk to stamp dealers who in turn sell them to stamp collectors. The proceeds are donated to the Christian Missionary Alliance for their translation of Sunday School materials sent to South America.
Knitted and Crocheted Blankets, for first time mothers at Park Street Church and our missionaries.
Quilts, for our missionaries and others.
Used Christmas Cards, are cut into shapes of bells, balls, stars, etc. with a Bible verse printed on the back. These are use for tree ornaments and given to children at the Child Evangelism Fellowship’s “Birthday Parties for Jesus.”
And More, at the request of missionaries we are making rag dolls and stuffed animals for sick children in hospitals and orphanages in the Middle East and Africa.
