Small but cozy room in the front of a well-furnished, top-floor apartment available September 1st.
7.5 X 10 Feet with good closet space, and a window with a healthy tree in the front.
Room will be unfurnished. Great space for a college student. We are located 10 minutes between Roxbury Crossing and Jackson Square T stops, and about 15 minutes to Nubian Square and the silver lines. We are walking distance from Northeastern, and just a couple T stops from Berklee/BoCo, and NEC. All of the colleges near the Commons like Emerson or Suffolk are about 25 minutes by T.
The neighborhood has a strong neighborhood watch program, a lot of the other complexes are filled with college students, so sometimes there are loud parties and the typical college mischief, but the area is overall safe. We are about 15 minute walk from a Stop and Shop, and we’re just a couple T stops from a Whole Foods and Star Market.
Street parking is available.
Coin-op laundry in the basement
Utilities run between $45-$100 depending on the season. (Electric, gas, internet, shared house supplies)
First/Last/Security is needed to move in.
Lease is from Sept 1 2020-end of August 2021.
Great common area spaces for people working at home or studying. Common areas include:
Well-lit living room, great space for community meetings if you want to host.
Open dining room with fridge, pantry, shelf space, and closet.
Small, but fully equipped kitched, and a year-old stove/oven
A large back deck facing the back of the community garden
A little about me: I graduated from NEC two years ago for Contemporary Improvisation. I walk dogs in Charlestown for steady income, and have recently started a long-term ecomusicology project in the Blue Hills. I am an introvert, but enjoy having good community with the people I live with. I don’t cook much, but I do have an addiction to boba tea. I practice violin at home, so you’ll probably hear me playing if you come!
