Tax help for International PhD student

Postby allika » Mon Jan 14, 2019 12:05 pm

Dear all,

I am a first year PhD student at Boston University with a fellowship. I am wondering if anyone on here has already figured out how to file US taxes as an international with student funding and also how I relate that to filing taxes in my home country.

I am from Canada, so if there are any Canadians on here that have done this that would be EXTRA helpful to hear how you manage taxes.

Thanks and blessings!

Hi. I am a BU grad student from China. You can try to see ISSO BU website and international student office University of Michigan. Both have many great information. Also there is a free software offered by BU ISSO you can use which fills the file automatically once you put in the basic info. You can also try FreeTaxUSA which is also a free software (I used this once last year). Hope this helps.

I will be glad to help) I am a remote writer who helps students, you can get help with a dissertation and check over here, a dissertation is a very difficult type of work, so I think you will be better off consulting.
