Divorced? Separated? We can help. Find help. Discover hope. Experience healing. DivorceCare helps you recover from the pain of separation and divorce. DivorceCare is a support group that meets weekly. You’ll find a warm, caring environment and will come to see your group as an oasis in an otherwise difficult season of life. There are three key elements to your experience: video seminar, group discussion and a personal workbook.

Unless you’ve been there it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. That’s why many of your friends and family don’t fully understand what you are going through and don’t know how to best help you.

We understand. DivorceCare groups are led by people who have been through divorce and successfully rebuilt their lives. We understand how you feel because we’ve been in the same place. We’ll show you how to deal with the hurt caused by your separation and divorce.

DivorceCare is a network of 13,000+ churches worldwide equipped to offer divorce support groups. The program is non-demonominational and features biblical teaching for recovering from divorce or separation. Learn more about DivorceCare, or join our Meetup group to stay up-to-date on our meeting calendar.

Park Street's Women's Ministry invites you to a Sensory Walk, which is simply and opportunity to pause from busy and noisy lives in order that we may listen more intently and intentionally. Stroll through some of the 90 acres of this Mass Audubon sanctuary, nestled in the middle of Belmont. Listen to the birds and grasshoppers in the meadow, look for turtles and frogs at the pond, smell and taste the herbs in the garden, feel the cool of the forest and the smooth bark of the beech tree, say “hello” to the goats, and maybe learn an interesting fact or two along the way! Any and all ages welcome. Jogging strollers are fine on many trails, and we can help you over any bumps along the way (teamwork!). If you have a hiking backpack for small children that may be preferable. If you plan on attending, please RSVP to Erika Whitworth.

Park Street Church partners with Cru Boston to unite college students from all over Boston. Since Boston has so many universities next to each other, we gather together on Friday nights at Park Street Church for a meeting we call “CityWide.” At CityWide, you’ll find a dozens of students from across the city. There is worship music, various students sharing a little about their life and what’s happening on their campus, and there a talk by a Cru staff member. After the talk, you’ll get a chance to mingle and discuss with old and new friends, and we close out the night with some more music.

After the meeting, everyone hangs out and eats homemade desserts, or some people might head out to grab pizza or frozen yogurt. We’ve got parties, dances, and all sorts of fun stuff after the meeting is over. It’s a great way to meet people from other campuses across the city.

Park Street Church is accessible by the red or green lines on the T at the Park Street station, and it will be the church building with a white and gold steeple that you see right as you walk out. Contact Brittany for more information, or to connect with other students that go to Citywide together on Friday nights.

Join us tonight as we celebrate our graduating seniors!

    About Hanneke

Effervescent and engaging, Boston-based fiddler Hanneke Cassel is a performer, teacher and composer whose career spans over two decades. Her style fuses influences from the Isle of Skye and Cape Breton Island with Americana grooves and musical innovations, creating a cutting-edge acoustic sound that retains the integrity and spirit of the Scottish tradition. Hanneke’s music is a blend of the contemporary and traditional, described by the Boston Globe as “exuberant and rhythmic, somehow wild and innocent, delivered with captivating melodic clarity and an irresistible playfulness.” She has performed across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia and is the 1997 U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion. Learn more and listen to her music!

“Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Eph 4:15-16

What is the Body of Christ? What is my role in it? Does everyone have spiritual gifts? How can I use my gifts? Join us for Park Street's Discipleship Institute this fall to explore these questions and grow together.   This session will run for six Sundays, beginning September 24 and ending October 29, and consists of three components: preaching, daily personal exercises, and intergenerational small groups. The Discipleship Institute will be offered three times during the day. Childcare for those under 12 will be offered.

    College Class: The Essentials

Chris & Liz Lawson (Terrace Room)

Whether we're new to the Christian faith or we've been walking with God for years, grounding ourselves in the essential elements of our faith is critical to our spiritual growth. Join us in this 10-part series as we take a closer look at the foundational elements and practices of the Christian faith such as the doctrine of the Trintiy, our assurance of salvation, and the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

God's People in Exile & Their Return to the Land

Perry & Elaine Phillips (Granary Room)

This class is designed to follow last year’s focus on 1 and 2 Kings—the history of Israel and Judah in the Land. This term we will consider the radical changes God’s people faced in the cosmopolitan culture of Babylon and later Persia. For the minority who did return to Judah, the challenges of being a persecuted minority were equally daunting. In both cases, the lessons for us are powerful.

    Genesis

Mary Harvey, Norm Graf (Common Room)

Genesis narrates incredible stories involving God at work in the lives of his people. Moses’s first book seeks to educate God’s people concerning foundational ideas and beliefs that were vital for God’s people to know and remember. Through these stories, Moses presents profound truths of God’s character, promises, presence, and his covenant with his people that can vitally affect our faith today. Come explore these with us.
