Women

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Who are Park Street Women?

Teenagers, thirty-somethings and octogenarians; suburbanites and city dwellers; students and professors; working outside and inside our homes; single and married; from anywhere in the world. Where can you find us? Participating in a Bible study, teaching a Christian Formation class, starting a book discussion group, sharing the love of Jesus on the Boston Common, attending an event designed especially for women. In other words… you’ll find us wherever you look, advancing God’s kingdom. Why are we here? We’ve found a welcoming church home and we want to share it. What motivates us? The extravagant, exuberant, unearned love of Christ. Would you like to be a Park Street Woman, too? Our desire is to draw women to dwell in Christ and from that place of security to do the good works prepared for us before time began.

4th Trimester Group

The goal of the 4th Trimester Ministry is to care for and celebrate with new moms in our church community. An experienced mom visits a new mom within the first few months after birth with a gift from the church and information on programs at the church relevant to her. The volunteer mom also provides a sympathetic ear and helps to connect mom and baby to any resources they may need. 4thtrimester@parkstreet.org

Creating Space

Connect.
Be refreshed and renewed.
Welcome one another into community.
Walk alongside each other on our faith journeys.

Hope for Our Sisters Tea

SAT, MAY 20, 7:00 PM, Jen Vogelzang’s Home in Reading

EVITE

Come hear how women’s lives are being changed around the globe. It will be an uplifting evening as we learn from Brooke Sulahian, President and Co-Founder of Hope for Our Sisters (HFOS), how we can give new life and hope to women in Africa and Nepal suffering from fistula and help to eradicate this devastating, preventable, condition.

Tea and light snacks will be provided. Handmade items will also available for purchase, including cards, Ethiopian scarves, hope mugs, and more. Proceeds will support the mission of HFOS and the women they serve.

We hope you can join us! Feel free to bring a friend or extend the invitation to others you think may be interested.

For more information on HFOS (a registered 501(c)3 organization), visit their website.

Woman to Woman Book Club

WED, MAY 31, 7:30 PM, 17 South Marble Street, Stoneham

Introducing the Woman to Woman Book Club, another way for women to create space to share their journeys with others! Please come even if you don’t have time to finish the book. The chapters are somewhat self contained so you will still have something to offer. We look forward to seeing you at Margaret’s house!

Join us to discuss Shauna Niequist’s latest book, Present Over Perfect. Do you feel busy, but not connected? Do you feel exhausted, but that your time isn’t spent meaningfully? Shauna offers an honest account of what led her to begin the journey to find life giving answers, and a compelling vision for an entirely new way to live: soaked in grace, rest, silence, simplicity, prayer, and connection with the people that matter most to us.

RSVP to Margaret Sloat. Find the book here!
