City Engagement
City Engagement seeks to provide ways for Park Street Church to reach the city of Boston with the good news of Christ through word, deed, and virtuous lives.
Jesus has given us both a model and a call to love our neighbor, especially the hungry, the lonely, and the poor. Each of us has the opportunity and privilege to be a neighbor in and around our homes and our places of study or work.
Home Ministry

We welcome 75–130 neighbors every Thursday evening for dinner and Saturday morning for breakfast. Guests receive a warm meal, clothing, toiletries, resource guides, friendship, and spiritual care—including personal prayer, Bible study (Saturdays), and short sermons (Thursdays).
Our guests are typically unhoused, in vulnerable or challenging housing situations, or seeking community and fellowship.
Serving Times
Thursday Dinner: Guests 5:45–7:15pm (Prep starts ~3:00pm; clean-up until ~7:45pm)
Saturday Breakfast: Guests 8:30–11:00am (Prep starts 7:30am; clean-up until 11:30am)

Sanctus Sports Fellowship
Sanctus shares God’s love with asylum seekers, displaced people, and international students during their time in the Boston by hosting weekly pickup soccer games. We invite players to connect further through events such as dinners, Bible studies, and holiday celebrations.
Currently, we play soccer at various times and fields around the city and play futsal in the church gym during the winter.
Opportunities
Come join and play! We’re particularly looking for new leaders, as we seek to add groups for varying skill levels and expand into new sports.
ESL (English as a Second Language)
Park Street offers a variety of ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. On weekdays we offer 6 levels of language instruction in formalized classes. On Saturdays we offer 2 levels of language instruction and conversational practice for Haitian neighbors in conjunction with our Home ministry. We are always looking for instructors and language partners!
Opportunities
Be a conversation partner—no experience or ESL training necessary. ESL-trained people very welcome!
Afghan Friendship
In partnership with local churches, we welcomed Afghan families to Boston after the fall of Kabul in 2021. The journey remains hard and often lonely, so the invitation to be a friend and neighbor is ongoing. We host occasional gatherings to build community and connection.
OPPORTUNITIES
Just be a neighbor, especially if you’re local to our families in Medford, Melrose, JP, and Roslindale. We highly recommend doing this as a group or community.
