    All-Church Camp

    August 23 - 27

A retreat is a time to get away from daily life to listen and learn from God and his people. We are inviting the whole church (yes, that means you!) to gather around a fire at Camp Laurel in Readfield, ME from August 23–27. If you’ve been to Family Camp, you’ll be familiar with the campground!

Take time to relax by the water, join in a board game with others from the church, or find things to satisfy your adventurous spirit. With a climbing wall, slip-n-slide, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, tennis, volleyball, soccer and more, there are countless ways for you refresh your spirit and body with the family of God.
As a church family, we will be focusing on the theme, “Generations: Unleashing a Legacy of Inspiration.” Think about some people who have made a difference in your walk with Christ. How does God bless his people with the gift of generational wisdom and experience? How are we making an impact on those who are following in our footsteps? We will work out these questions in a practical way as we relax side-by-side with people of all walks of life.
This year, we will offer three different teaching tracks:
    • ONE (Young Professionals) Fri, Aug 25–Sun Aug 27. A track with worship, teaching and small groups focused on the unique place that young professionals are in relative to other generations within the body of Christ. Special teaching by guest speaker, Steve Argue. Those in track one who would like to arrive earlier than FRI AUG 25 should contact Kris.
    • TWO (Family-friendly) Wed, Aug 23–Sun Aug 27. A track exploring how God uses many generations within family units to bless the church and the world. Families in track two can choose either a three or a four night package.
    • THREE (Intergenerational) Fri Aug 25–Sun Aug 27. A track for those craving to learn and grow with people outside of their own affinity group. Humans old and young, small and tall will form small groups and worship time, hearing from Paul and Virginia Friesen about the unique calling of the church to break down barriers bless those around us, regardless of demographic situation. Those in track three who would like to arrive earlier than FRI AUG 25 should contact Kris.
We will eat meals together and free time is just that—FREE TIME—in which you can hang out with whomever you would like! Worship on Sunday morning will be all together with the three tracks combined.
Finally we have a guest musician (Steven Courtney) who will perform a kid-friendly concert on Friday night (although all are welcome!) and an All-Camp concert on Saturday night.
Camp Laurel is immaculate and the cabins are in great condition. We do our best to give every family their own space/cabin. If you are single, you will be placed in a cabin with other men or women based on your gender. There are a number of couples’ rooms available for those who are married without children. All cabins have toilets and sinks.  Many have showers as well, but if yours does not, there is a shower house steps away from the cabin.
Interested in getting a slightly better price by pitching a tent? Send a note to Kris Perkins to explore this option.
Cost includes lodging, meals, programming, and activities.
    • $55 a night for 18 and above.
    • $45 a night for 3–18.
    • Free for children below 3 years old.
