Pastoral Care & Counseling

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

2 CORINTHIANS 1:3–4

Pastoral Care

Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed. Proverbs 15:22

At Park Street Church we believe that ministering to the whole person is vital. Park Street’s pastoral care team provides pastoral counseling, oversees our support groups/workshops and provides supervision for our trained care team volunteers. The pastoral care ministry offers short-term counseling from a Christian worldview to church members and regular attendees. We offer the following types of counseling:

  • Individual Counseling
  • Premarital Counseling
  • Marital Counseling
  • Referrals to other Christian counselors

We also work with affiliated ministies.

Premarital Workshops

For those who are engaged or contemplating marriage, Park Street offers one-day workshops.

Support Groups

Divorce Care

If you are separated or divorced and need healing, we invite you to this 13-week support group. You’ll find a warm, caring environment and will come to see your group as an oasis in this difficult season of life. There are three key elements to your experience: video seminar, group discussion and a personal workbook. Each Biblically-based session is self-contained. Unless you’ve been there it’s hard to understand the hurt that comes from separation and divorce. That’s why many of your friends and family don’t fully understand what you are going through and may not know how to best help you.

Groups run in the fall, winter and spring.

EMPLOYMENT SEARCH SUPPORT

A group for all active job seekers who would like help in their job search. By appointment. Contact the Job Search ministry team with questions.
