Hi Welcome to International Ministries!

Back in the day, when phones like this still existed and used commonly, Park Street Church was befriending internationals, those who visit Boston from other nations. In 1971, the church ordained its first minister for internationals, Yousef (Joseph) Sabounji, or Joe, as he was commonly known. He started a number of ministries that served students, visiting scholars, and immigrants alike.

In 1998, Stuart DeLorme assumed the role, where he continued the robust ESL (English as a Second Language) program, and grew the international fellowship into what would ultimately be called PSIF. In 2015, the role of Minister to Internationals was taken up by Raymond Kam, who comes from a background of cross-cultural psychiatry.

Join us as we build a multi-ethnic, Christ-centered community from more than sixty nations here at Park Street Church, here in the ‘Athens of America’ where over 200k foreign-born residents and 50k international students make their home. This has been our calling since before the time of rotary phones, and will continue to be as our church grows in this modern, global, and interconnected world!
