Due to the Annual Meeting, there will be a single worship service beginning at 10:30 AM on SUN, FEB 25, followed by a light lunch and fellowship from 11:45 AM to 12:30 PM. Annual budgets for the church will also be approved. Active Park Street Church members will be allowed to vote, but whether or not you are a member we encourage you to attend!

Hard copies will be available at the back of the Sanctuary.

Lenten Discipleship Initiative and World Relief 80th Anniversary

Lenten Discipleship Initiative
SUNDAYS beginning FEB 18 |
After the 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM services
Lent begins on WED, FEB 14. For this year’s Lenten Discipleship Initiative, we will be using a devotional prepared by World Relief entitled “He Was There,” which considers how believers can walk in the footsteps of Jesus. World Relief was founded 80 years ago on a foundation laid by Park Street Church to address the critical need for food and clothing among people displaced by the war in Europe. As we celebrate World Relief’s 80th Anniversary throughout Lent, this devotional will help us examine Jesus’ care for those on the margins – the sick, the disenfranchised, the lost – and together we will see how this sacrificial love is for us, too.

See here to view more information, register for LDI, and download digital copies of “He Was There.” Hard copies of the devotional will also be available in the Welcome Center on FEB 11.

Give to World Relief with “fasting envelopes”
FEB 11 – MAR 30
Back when World Relief was still forming, Park Street Church contributed by encouraging congregants to fast one meal a week during Lent and to donate the money they would have used for that food using a “fasting envelope.” Throughout this coming Lent, we will once again be encouraging everyone to consider fasting and donating. Fasting envelopes will be available in the Welcome Center starting on FEB 11. Fasting money can also be donated online or in the Church Center App.

Ongoing Adult Christian Formation Classes

The Book of Amos: The God Who Roars Against Sin
SUN JAN 21, 28, FEB 4, & FEB 11 | 9:45 AM | Granary Room

Come explore key themes of the book of Amos in this interactive, informal, four-week Christian Formation series led by Pastor Julian L. We will consider “The God who roars against sin” (ch. 1-2), “The God who demands to be heard” (ch. 3-6), “The God who rises against Israel” (ch. 7-9:10), and “The God who restores David’s fallen tent” (ch. 9:11-15).

Prayer Requests

Collective Prayers

I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:20-21

Let us pray together for our upcoming Annual Meeting, that God would have mercy on Park Street Church. That he would guide us. That he would help us to approach each other with an open spirit, willing to genuinely listen to each other. That we would be able to discern what is true and right. That we would see first the log in our own eye before we point out the speck in others’. That we would be united in our love for God and love for each other. That this church would be on the forefront of God’s work to renew the world and reconcile all things. That the light of God’s goodness would shine through this church to Boston and the world. And let us pray together that above all, Jesus would be glorified in our words and actions, both individually and as a body.
