Leader: I will praise you, O LORD. Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.

People: The LORD is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.

Leader: Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.

People: Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.

* HYMN Jesus Lives!

* INVOCATION, CONFESSION, & LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father who art in heaven; Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our coming day’s bread;
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
And lead us not into trial, but deliver us from the Evil One.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

ANTHEM
If God Be For us, Who Can be Against Us? from Messiah
Words: Romans 8:31–34 | Music: G. F. Handel (1685–1759)
Jennifer Schmunk, soprano

If God be for us, who can be against us?
Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth, who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is at the right hand of God, who makes intercession for us.
