Christian Formation Series: Faithfulness in a Time of Political Upheaval

Five–week series beginning SUN, OCT 2 | 9:45 AM & 5:30 PM

How does theology inform our faithful engagement of politics? With increasing politicization and social divisions, Christians find themselves in need of understanding the role of theology and the church in expressing a faithful political presence. This seminar series aims to highlight key features of a Christian theology that informs Christian faithfulness in a time of political upheaval. This series does not endorse any candidates or political parties, but aims to help Christians think theologically. Guest speakers include Vincent Bacote (Wheaton), James Hunter (University of Virginia), and Amy Black (Wheaton). Town Hall Meetings

TUE, SEP 27 & FRI, OCT 14 | 7:00 PM

PSC congregants are invited to attend a Town Hall meeting with leaders from the church. This meeting will provide an opportunity for members of the congregation to share ideas, thoughts, questions, concerns, and feedback with our Senior Minister, Mark Booker, our Moderator, Jason Abraham, and other members of the church leadership. It will also provide some time for our leaders to share updates.

The Town Hall will begin at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary and will be capped at a total attendance of 40 people in order to make more dialogue possible. Please choose to attend only one of the events to make room for others. Registration via Realm is required. Please RSVP below.

Join us for meals and an exploration of the community life, theological convictions, and unique priorities of Park Street Church. This class is open to those interested in becoming members and those who are still just exploring the church: participating does not mean you have to become a member. Each afternoon will begin with a meal, and childcare will be available.

Short–Term Missions Teams Receptions

Hear stories from this summer’s short-term mission teams. After a brief hiatus due to the pandemic, more than 60 people from our congregation have served locally and globally through short-term missions this year (and another 9 are preparing for a trip in November). Next Friday please join us for dinner and a panel discussion that includes a seasoned primary care physician from MGH, a mid-career mental health professor from Boston University, an early career faculty from Brigham and Women’s, and a current trainee. Note: While we are currently in need of three more teachers for the fall (levels 1, 2, and 4), we welcome you to attend this workshop even if you do not intend to teach.

Alpha: Explore & Ask Questions About the Christian Faith

Alpha is an opportunity to explore life and ask questions about the Christian faith in an open and informal environment. Each week you will hear a short talk on an element of Christian faith and then are free to share your own questions with the group. International Fellowship (PSIF)

More than 60 nations are represented in the multiethnic community of Park Street Church. Students, visiting scholars, and immigrants have made PSC their spiritual home – many through Park Street’s International Fellowship (PSIF). Join us during the academic year (SEP-MAY) for singing, prayer and small group Bible discussion in English. PSIF is open to all internationals, including students, scholars and their families. Our focus is on discipleship and living out the Word of God. PSIF resumes on SUN, SEP 11. If you have questions, email [email protected].
