March 14, 2020

In light of the Covid-19 crisis that we have been hearing so much about, the Elders are asking that we worship on Sunday in a small group or in our homes through live internet streaming. There will be no 8:30 a.m. service on Sunday, but you will be able to stream the 11:00 a.m. service and the 4:00 p.m. service.

In concert with the counsel of the PSC Health Response Team, which recommends that we do not attend the Sunday services in person, the Elders strongly discourage in-person attendance this Sunday. As you may be aware, this is the practice that many churches are implementing this Sunday for the near-term future. Given the Governor’s decision to ask that meetings of 250 or more persons not take place and the rapid spread of the virus, the Elders agree that this is the best practice.

The Elders and all of us hope and pray that the public health crisis will pass. We must do our part to see that happens so that our life together can return to normal. Let us all worship together Sunday by joining the service over the internet.

Please look for additional communications during the week about future plans and how we may make the best of the difficult situation over the next few weeks.

In addition, your faithfulness in giving is very much appreciated and if you prefer to give electronically please click here, otherwise, the church office will be pleased to receive your offering through the mail.

This is a time for prayer and intercession. We should seek the Lord and not be afraid (Psalm 34:4). Let us tell our neighbors the reason for our strength.

Blessings,

David Rix, Moderator
