The King
From beginning to end, John's gospel is about the kingship of Jesus. That becomes especially clear as Jesus enters Jerusalem, is betrayed, arrested, tried and crucified. He is no an ordinary king and this is no ordinary kingdom. This sermon explores Jesus's redefinition of kingship through the triumphal entry and the passion narrative, and it examines the moment of his enthronement on the cross.
