2021 Annual Meeting Registration and Details

WED FEB 24, 7:00–8:30 PM (Zoom opens at 6:30 PM)

We are looking forward to participating with all of you in this year’s Annual Meeting! Given the COVID-19 environment, almost all those attending the Annual Meeting will attend over Zoom. Only Park Street Church active members who are on Zoom or present in-person will be allowed to vote. In order to attend over Zoom please register through Realm. If you do not have a Realm account, you may email [email protected] and ask the church office to register you for the Annual Meeting. You must register for the Annual Meeting in advance in order to receive the Zoom link for the meeting, which will be sent out at 5:00PM on TUE FEB 23—the day before the meeting.

The Zoom meeting will “open” on Wednesday at 6:30 PM in order to have time to take attendance. Those who attend over Zoom will be sent a secure, individualized ballot by email for voting during the meeting.

If you believe you should be present in-person for the Annual Meeting, please email Mike Ahearn, or call the church office at 857-263-5702, and leave a message containing your contact information for him.

Promises

Love and Life as a New Covenant Community

Throughout the season of Lent we invite all Park Street congregants to join a Lenten Discipleship Institute (LDI) small group as we consider together the promises extended to us by Jesus Christ. In the upper room discourse in John 13–17 as the Last Supper unfolds, Jesus established a new covenant people whose primary command is to love. Such love leads to flourishing life in the midst of a challenging world. Jesus extends to us amazing blessings and extraordinary promises as we live our our lives faithfully in response to the new covenant he has established with us. We will explore how such a life is lived out in the midst of a 2021 world.

LDI 2021 will run from February 21–March 28 meeting every Sunday. Last day to register is today!

Park Street Church Warming Center

Park Street Church has opened a Warming Center. Neighbors are invited in for a 90-minute chance to get warm, eat a meal, charge their phone, and use the restroom. We also serve grab-and-go meals and hot drinks at the entrance to our church. We are seeking volunteers for the following:

  • Make Sandwiches from Home and bring them to the church for our neighbors. SIGN UP
  • Become an In-Person Volunteer: Contact Kimberley Morrison to sign up for a 2-hour shift on a Saturday.

We are excited about the new opportunities we have through the Warming Center to have conversations with our neighbors; pray for them; and build relationships. Last Saturday, we had folks honking their horns thanking us for this gift to our neighbors!

Prayer & Praise

Pray for the Congregation

  • “Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power” (Psa 21:13);
  • Hold to what Christ taught us (Heb 3:6);
  • One day we shall see him as he is (1 Jn 3:2);
  • Christ will wipe every tear from our eyes (Rev 21:4).

Pray for the People

  • For our Saturday Warming Center ministry: may it be a witness of Christ’s love to our neighbors on the Common and continue to be a safe ministry space for all who are involved;
  • For our Elders: open minds and humble hearts to discern God’s lead, and wisdom in directing the transitions of the church;
  • For our Staff: God’s Spirit and consolation to encourage the disheartened, strengthen the faint, and shine brightly in the light of Christ;
  • Solace for those suffering bereavement;
  • Comfort and relief for those feeling lonely, afraid, or lost;
  • Patience and healing for those struggling with illness of body or mind;
  • Wisdom and grace for parents with children gripped by fearful anxieties;
  • Strength and stamina for those caring for members of their family or community;
  • Mercy and support for the food or housing insecure;
  • Opportunities and guidance for those seeking employment;
  • Compassion and courage for all in positions of authority with responsibility for leadership;
  • Wisdom and help for the speedy and safe distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Pray for Grace

  • To open our eyes to see the beauty, worth, and dignity of every human being;
  • To unstop our ears to the cries of the afflicted and their appeals for change;
  • To move our hearts to repent of God-dishonoring attitudes, behaviors, and speech.
