Life of the Church
SUNDAY JUNE 19, 2022
We are hiring for Freedom Trail Guides!
Park Street Church is looking for part–time historical guides to curate its collection and guide tourists from late June to late August, three days a week. Please find job description and application using the link below.
Coffee on the Common | Sundays after 8:30 am & 11:00 am services
Beginning TODAY (SUN, JUN 19)
Last summer, because of COVID, we started having coffee hour after each service on Boston Common. We realized it was great to be out together in the midst of the city, so this summer (weather permitting) we’re going to be having coffee out on the Common again, beginning TODAY, SUN, JUN 19. You can head out there right after the 8:30 am & 11:00 am services. The coffee and snacks will be set up across the street from the Ockenga Lobby doors. Since coffee on the Common is a little more logistically difficult, Randall could really use some regular help.
Please email him at [email protected].
All-Church Camp | Aug 24–28
All–Church Camp will take place on AUG 24-28 at Camp Laurel South in Casco, Maine. Join us for 2, 3, or 4 nights as we gather as a church family and enjoy God’s beautiful creation! Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all days, except Wednesday, and full use of all the camp has to offer. Registration closes AUG 1.
HOME Ministry – Invitation to Serve our Local Unhoused and Housed Guests
We invite you to join us in serving good food and creating a hospitable atmosphere of safety, calm and conversation in the name and spirit of Jesus, every THU evening (open to guests 5:45-7:15 PM) and/or SAT morning (open to guests 8:30–11:30 AM) in the Fellowship Hall. Please let us know your interest by completing the form below.
We are looking to build “resilient sustainability” in the HOME community of people serving. This means 1) a core group large enough to own and share responsibilities, for the sake of safety, logistics, pastoral care of other volunteers and guests, and, 2) a larger occasional-volunteer group that can be relied upon, on aggregate, to provide capacity. This balances the need for continuity of relationship with our guests with the practical need for enough people serving sustainably over the long–term.
