Community Servings Card Making

Community Servings Card Making

Create a homemade card to provide cheer to critically ill clients, who range in age from 3 to 101. Community Servings will deliver your card, along with a tailor-made meal. Your card will brighten a client’s day and let them know you are thinking of them and wishing them well. Include positive and encouraging messages such as “Hope you have a happy day!” or “Happy holidays!” Avoid saying things that might remind them of their illness such as “feel better soon” or “hope you get well.” Drop your card off at the front desk of Park Street Church and tell the receptionist that your card is for “Love Boston: Community Servings.” Of course, feel free to make more than one! Please have cards delivered by Sunday, November 22. Questions? Email [email protected].

Racial Justice & Reconciliation Ministry

On July 1, 2020, the Board of Elders for Park Street Church voted to form a ministry team to develop a ministry of racial justice and racial reconciliation. The team is comprised of elders, staff, and members of the church.

We invite you to learn about the team goals and members. We also encourage you to sign up for their prayer list, where you will receive regular updates on prayer requests relating to their work. Visit the link below to update your newsletter preferences to include “Racial Justice & Reconciliation Prayer List.”

PRAYER LIST

Details about these and other events can be found on the events page!

These links will be live immediately after the 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM services.

Prayer & Praise

Pray for the Congregation

  • “Declare his glory among the nations; his marvelous works among all the peoples!” (Psa 96:3);
  • Draw near to God (Jas 4:7);
  • Forgive others as God forgave you (Eph 4:32);
  • Unite in one voice to glorify God (Rom 15:5-6).

Pray for the People

  • For all participants in our virtual Global Missions Conference: deepening faith in the sufficiency of Christ’s love, and increasing prayer and concern for a suffering world;
  • For our Elders: wisdom, grace, and unity as they continue discussing and providing direction for our worship together;
  • For our Nominating Committee: discernment in prayerful consideration of leaders for our congregation;
  • For our Staff: that God continues to watch over, provide, guide, and sustain our ministries;
  • For all suffering physical or mental ill-health: hope for those stretched beyond their capacity to cope, and comfort of God’s sustaining presence amidst pain and misery;
  • Thanksgiving for teachers and educators, and prayer for resources and flourishing for all learners;
  • Thanksgiving for healthcare professionals, and prayer for physical, emotional, and spiritual strength for their work;
  • Courage, hope, and help for those unemployed and unsure how to put food on the table and keep a roof overhead;
  • Consolation and comfort for those grieving loss of various kinds, and enduring faith in God’s goodness, love, and provision;
  • Deliverance, protection, and comfort for all particularly vulnerable and isolated in the coronavirus pandemic;
  • Great wisdom, deep commitment, and right judgment for all in positions of authority with responsibility for leadership.

Pray for Grace

  • To persevere in all mitigation efforts against COVID-19;
  • To see and grow in concern and love for our neighbors;
  • To bring spiritual renewal and unity to our communities in Christ’s name.
