PRELUDE
Nathan Skinner, organ
INTROIT
Vidi aquam
Words: Ezekiel 47
Music: Mode VII, accompaniment by John Scott
I saw water flowing from the right side of the temple, Alleluia.
It brought God’s life, and his salvation,
And the people sang in joyful praise: Alleluia, alleluia.
* CALL TO WORSHIP from Psalm 34 & 81
John Liu, Elder
Leader: Alleluia! Christ is risen.
People: He is risen indeed. Alleluia!
Leader: Sing aloud to God our strength;
shout for joy to the God of Jacob!
People: Blow the trumpet at the new moon,
at the full moon, on our feast day.
Leader: “I am the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of the land of Egypt.
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”
People: O taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
* HYMN He Is Risen, He Is Risen!
* INVOCATION, CONFESSION, & LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father who art in heaven; Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our coming day’s bread;
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
And lead us not into trial, but deliver us from the Evil One.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Now Glad of Heart
Words: Christlichs Gesangbüchlein, 1569. Tr. A.H. Fox-Strangways
Music: K. Lee Scott (b. 1950)
Now glad of heart be every one!
The fight is fought, the day is won,
The Christ is set upon his throne,
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Who on the rood was crucified,
Who rose again, as at this tide,
In glory to his Father’s side,
Alleluia, Alleluia!
Who baffled death and harrowed hell
And led the souls that loved him well
All in the light of lights to dwell:
Alleluia, Alleluia!
To him we lift our heart and voice
And in his paradise rejoice
With harp and pipe and happy noise.
Sing Alleluia!
Then rise all Christian folk, with me
And carol forth the One in Three
That was, and is, and is to be,
Alleluia, Alleluia!
