The Royal Son
Mark Booker | Psalm 132.1-18 | Psalms of Ascent | The plea of this psalm (part 1) comes out of the heart of desperate dependence at the center of the life of faith. The response to that plea (part 2) points us to the promises of God, specifically promises about a son of David on the throne. Both parts of this psalm speak to us in our tumultuous world, encouraging us to dependence, to rejoicing in the royal son of David (Jesus), and to hoping in promises yet to be fulfilled.
